She needs to borrow money to get the business of the ground and has but has little experience and doesn’t know where to start. Recently she heard about Kiva Zip through a friend and is thinking about applying for a loan.

Story:
Renard has succesfully received and repaid his first Kiva Zip loan and is now operating on his second loan of a larger amount to expand his coffee shop business. Renard wants to bring high quality coffee to his neighborhood while making an increase in his profit so he can build a retirement fund and eventually sell. Renard struggled with his first Kiva Zip loan and business but had a good trustee and business plan in place. He feels like he’s received a lot of help from folks along the way and wants to give back to the Kiva Zip community but also doesn’t have much time to be a full time trustee.

“Owning a business is hard work. Had it not been for my trustee and the Kiva Zip community, I wouldn’t have made it. I want to do something to help other people who are struggling so that they can make it too. ”
